From the grade up, the way a deck actually gets built

Every project runs the same four steps whether it is a four-by-four landing or two thousand square feet of composite. We have done both, and everything in between, more than twenty thousand times since 2010.

Walk the ground

We measure before we quote, not after

Adam comes out, walks the grade with you, and puts a number on it. On the jobs where that is all it takes, you have a price the same day. Grade and drainage decide more about a deck than the boards do, which is why nobody here quotes off a photo.

Nothing gets cut until you have signed off

Your project gets drawn in three dimensions on your own property so you can see the thing rather than imagine it. Change it as many times as you need. Construction starts when you love it and not one day earlier.

Ground-contact lumber, set by carpenters

Posts, beams and joists go in first and they go in square. Customers tend to name the carpenter rather than the company when they write about us, which tells you where the work actually happens. Matthew, Jason, Joe, James, John and Don all get named by name.

The part most people remember

Wood or cedar steel rails, a patio roof or pergola over the top if the sun needs breaking, and riser lights down the steps. Brian usually finishes up with the lights. It is the last hour of the job and it is the reason the deck gets used after dark.

What we build

Six structures, one crew, one warranty

We started in 2010 with a $385 four-by-four deck and steps. The smallest thing we still build is that same landing. The largest so far is a two-thousand-square-foot custom composite deck. Everything below sits somewhere on that line.

Patio roofs, custom railings, arbors, garages and custom patios do not get a page each, but we build all of them. Customers have also had us put up privacy fencing and gates, gazebos, porch roofs, deck extensions and deck lighting. If it goes up outside and it is made of timber, ask us.

Built to your ground

Custom decks

Ground-contact treated pine or cedar, framed for the grade you actually have. Outdoor kitchens, stairs, railings, garden features, lighting, and cover from the wind and rain if you want it.

Less upkeep, longer life

Composite decks

Boards that don't splinter, don't need sealing every other spring, and don't get slick when the humidity breaks. Looks like timber, resists stains, holds its color.

Pool decks

Treated or composite, with wood or cedar steel rails on every one. The base gets enclosed in treated lumber, picket fence or lattice, and a patio roof or pergola can go over the top.

Open porch, screened porch or a full sunroom. The point is the same either way: the heat, the insects and the rain stay out and you still get to sit outside.

Since the summer of 2010. We started with a $385 four-by-four deck and steps, and we've built more than 20,000 decks since. Over 600 customers across East Texas have had something built by us, from that same little landing up to a 2,000 square foot custom composite deck.

Yes. We're fully bonded and insured, and we'll show you proof before we start. We also hold an A+ rating with the BBB.

One year on our workmanship. Material warranties run separately and depend on what goes into your project. Because we hold a specialist rating with some manufacturers, we can offer warranties on certain products that a builder without that rating can't. We'll hand you the specific warranties that apply to your build.

Too many things move the number for us to guess at it honestly. Size, height off the ground, material, railing, stairs, whether there's a roof over it. That's why the on-site estimate is free. We come out, measure, and walk you through the options with real prices attached.

Yes, and we won't start until you're happy with it. We draw your project in 3D so you can see what it'll actually look like on your property, and we change it as many times as it takes. Construction starts after you sign off, not before.

No charge for the visit and no charge for the 3D drawing. If getting us to the house is the hard part, we run the estimate over Zoom or FaceTime instead, and you do not need an account for either. Financing runs through EnerBank USA at 7.99% APR over five years if you want to spread it.
